Preserve Memory With Us
This film needs your support. Voices That Heal is the first documentary of its kind -- it is about four indigenous communities in the Peruvian Amazon, narrated in their own voices and native tongues, following their ritualistic and agricultural calendar. It’s about the Huachipaeri, whose language is close to extinct; the Machiguenga who use plants to heal and stabilize humanity; and the cosmovisions of the surviving Amarakaeri and the Toyeri people.
In the past few decades the Amazons and Andes of Latin America have been exploited by corporations, both mining and oil companies, that are not just killing our Mother Earth and its diverse ecologies but are also extinguishing their protectors. The ecocentric and holistic wisdom of local indigenous communities comes from their relationships with the environment around them. We are supporting to document this resistance, their persistence onto today.

where will your support go?
We need $1,500 to support the completion of post-production and finish the film. The $1500 will be used for the translation of the 5 native languages and for equipment (ie. more space for higher quality film).
If we reach our goal of $1500 we will continue our fundraiser and ask for your support in subtitling the film into english and spanish ($1000 for each language).
